Happy Valentines Day and Template Freebie #31

Happy Valentine's Day!!  Hope you are enjoying a romantic, fun or chocolate filled day!  In all my years, I've never had chocolate covered strawberries.  So today at the grocery store, I bought a pack of 4 chocolate covered strawberries.  Two in white chocolate and two in dark chocolate.  The strawberries were huge.  After lunch, I opened them up and ate ALL of them!!  Oh my god, they were mouth watering.  What have I been missing??  Man, what a treat that was!!  Good thing I worked out this morning.

I have another template for you today.  The second template freebie I created was one from my Crystal Palace layout.  This was template freebie #2.

I ended up making a matching second page because I had more pictures from that character meal that I wanted to scrap.  Here is the matching layout.

And that is template freebie #31.  Enjoy and happy scrapping!

On The Green From Natalie's Place Designs

Only on the golf course is it OK to wear plaids, stripes and crazy bold colors!!  Who started that, I wonder??  But it does make for a great scrapping kit!!  Today, Natalie's Place Designs has a fabulous mini-golf kit that gives you those plaids and stripes and pretty greens.  This kit has several golf balls, tees, flags, scorecards and putters, just the perfect accents for your golfing layouts.  Even a full alpha with little plaid flairs.  Head over to Natalie's blog HERE to grab this adorable kit and her fabulous freebies.

Our last day at Disney, we checked out the Winter Summerland mini-golf place.  It had one side decorated in a summer theme, the other side in winter.  We picked the winter side which had several snowmen, igloos and candy canes.  Matthew really gets into playing, trying hard each time to make a hole-in-one.

Your freebie today is the mini-golf word art title.  Don't forget to visit Lisa Campbell Designs and Cynthia Forever Young to check out their layouts and grab their freebies too.  Enjoy and happy scrapping!

Some Layouts and Template Freebie #30

My boys are huge Star Wars fans so we were excited to hear the announcement of the dates for Star Wars Weekends at Disney World this year.  We already have a trip planned for June 2-12th, hoping that those first 2 weekends in June would be hosts to Star Wars Weekends like it was in 2009.  Thankfully the dates for 2011 are May 20-22, May 27-29, June 3-5 and June 10-12.  So we are now officially attending!!!  Plus we plan to visit Universal Studios to check out The Wizarding World of Harry Potter for the first time.  So we've got an awesome plan shaping up!!

I worked on a few Mousescrapper challenges.  First was the new Scraplift Challenge using Brittish Designs 'Animal Kingdom' kit.  We met Rafiki at Animal Kingdom.

Monday night was the Speed Scrap where I scrapped our meeting with Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat at Universal Studios.  I used Kellybell Designs 'Expedition Safari' kit and my template #16 (yes, I do reuse my own templates!).

We've watched all the Toy Story movies and have enjoyed all the characters during our visits.  This trip we got a double dose of Jessie.  We saw her at Hollywood Studios, then again with Woody at Magic Kingdom.

I made the layout into a template for you.  Here is template freebie #30.

Is It Snowing Yet?? Here's Template Freebie #29

Well, it's cold across the entire nation.  And it's cold here in Texas too.  The forecast says it will snow tonight, maybe 1-2 inches.  That amazing for us down south here in Austin, TX because we never get any snow.  The boys are all excited about the snow and the possibility that school will be cancelled!  We are just not used to snow in the city, so just the mention of snow in the forecast will close the schools the night before!!  Pretty funny!  Hope you are all warm and safe!!

I have another template for you today.  I was experimenting with scallop shapes for a while, now I'm working on wavy shapes.  This was the template inspiration layout:

Here is template #29.  Enjoy and happy scrapping!!

Dancing In The Street From Natalie's Place Designs

Get your sunglasses on because this kit is bright, bold with lots of energy!!  Today, Natalie's Place Designs announced 'Dancin' In The Street'.  It's fabulous for parades, birthdays,  and celebrations.  It makes you happy just looking at the kit preview!!  Plus she's included 4 alphas which are outlined in blue, red, yellow and green.  I just love how Natalie likes to experiment with bold colors!!  You can find all of her kits and super duper freebies at Natalie's Place Designs.

We finally got to watch the Magic Kindgom afternoon parade which starts at 3pm.  We typically start our day at rope drop at 9am or Early Magic Hours at 8am, so by mid afternoon, the boys are getting tired and we head back to the hotel for a swim or a nap.  I'm so glad we got to see the Dreams parade, it really was wonderful!!  Natalie's kit was perfect for scrapping a 2-page layout.

For your freebie, I'm giving you the parade title wordart.  Enjoy and happy scrapping!
