Merry Christmas!! And See You Next Year!!

I'd like to wish you and your families a very mery Christmas today!!  It's a wonderful day to remember all the goodness and blessings that have come to us this year.  As we celebrate Jesus' birth and the arrival of Santa Claus today, I can reflect on all the happiness my family has enjoyed this year.

This year, I discovered digital scrapping and started my blog this summer.  I've been on the Creative Team for 2 amazing and fabulous Disney designers - Kelly and Natalie.  And what a fabulous experience that has been for me!!  I made 25 templates so far and lots of frames, borders, wordart and clusters (hope you've grabbed all of them).  I have learned so much about Photoshop Elements and creating layouts.  And I got my June 2009 Photobook of 98 pages completed and printed.  So I have tons to be thankful for when it comes to scrapping.

We'll be heading up to the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX for a few day to enjoy their indoor water park and MagiQuest adventure game.  Then we drive straight up to Estes Park in Colorado to have some snowy fun.  We'll be hiking, sledding and hopefully taking a horse drawn sleigh ride through the snowy mountains. We don't get back until Jan3rd, just in time for school to start up again the next day.

So to all my friends and followers, best wishes to you for a warm and wonderful holiday season!  See you next year!!!

HoHoHo!! A Holiday Fun Kit From Natalie's Place Designs

Ho Ho Ho!!!  Can you feel all the Christmas spirit in the air!!  It's Christmas eve and Natalie has a wonderful holiday kit for you today called Ho Ho Ho!!  It's such a fun kit filled with festive red, green and gold papers and full of adorable holiday elements like Christmas trees, presents, popcorn garland, lights and holly berries!  You can find it at Natalie's Place Designs HERE and also grab all her fabulous freebies on her blog.  It really puts you in the holiday mood!

I loved the brilliant reds in this kits and the gold paper gave my layouts a fabulous bling.  And the Christmas trees are stunning!  Here's what I scrapped.

Now, if you want an instant Christmas lift to your layout, I created a fun holiday border for you.  Enjoy!!

Template #25 - 1 Day Until Christmas!!

Wow, we've made it through the week!  Today is Christmas Eve, a joyous day!!  Much excitement is in the air around here.  We've got our annual phone call from Santa today between 3-4pm.  It's the same company and the same guy.  He does a great job talking to the boys and they really get a kick out of his calling.  It's called Santa Phone if you want to check it out.

Andrew made reindeer food at his class christmas party (oats, sugar, glitter) so we'll be sprinkling that on the lawn tonight.  We'll leave some carrots outside on the the front steps and put out our milk and cookies for Santa.  Matthew wants to get up in the middle of the night to see if he can catch Santa in the act!!  It will probably be a very early morning for us tomorrow!!!

Today is the last day of my template freebies, then I'll be signing off until the new year.  I hope you've grabbed all of the templates this week and can get busy scrapping with them.

I flipped this template to create the second page of my safari layout.  Sometimes templates can take on a whole new look if you remember to rotate them or flip them upside down!!

Here's the last template of the year, Template #25.  Enjoy!

Template #24 - 2 Days Until Christmas!!

My boys can hardly sit still.  They know that Christmas is getting soooo close now, it's killing them with anticipation.  I'm trying to keep them busy all day long.  And we've cleaned out the playroom and the toy bins in their rooms to make space for new toys.  I've finally retired all the Blues Clues, Doodlebops, Shrek and castle knight today, they haven't played with them in quite a while.  And I was pretty bold at tossing out anything broken, missing pieces, and little parts and accessories.  It felt good to clean things up a bit!

Now, let's talk scrapping.  This layout is more recent.  I just created it last week for Natalie's Bon Appetit kit.  I like the mix of portait and layout pictures stacked on each other.

Here is your template for today.  One more day to go with freebie templates!  Enjoy!!

Template #23 - 3 Days Until Christmas!!

I have all my shopping done now.  I survived the trip to Walmart and the sports store.  It really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.  Now I need to work on the wrapping part!  Today's layout was one I did for a Mousescrappers Speed Scrap.  I liked the 3 photo collage.

Today you get Template #23.  Still got 2 more to go, so come back tomorrow.  Enjoy!!

Template #22 - 4 Days Until Christmas!!

I decided to make coconut cream pie for dessert for Christmas dinner.  I wanted to make a chocolate cake too, but we're leaving on Monday morning so there's not much time to be eating lots of desserts before we head out for our trip.  The pie is my husband's favorite and it gets easily gobbled up in 2 days!!

I had lots of fun working on my Star Wars Weekends layouts.  I still love to look at our Photobook with all the pictures.  I like lots of pictures on my layouts, 3-4 at a minimum.  So I'm always trying out new ways to organize the photos on a page.  Here is my layout inspiration for today's template.

And here is template #22.  Enjoy!

Template #21 - 5 Days Until Christmas!!

We are just 5 days away from Christmas!!  How are you coping??  I've been doing good so far, up until today.  A little bit of panic is settling in .... do I have enough presents for the boys, what am I going to make for dessert for our Christmas meal, when should I start wrapping.  The big day is getting toooooo close!!

At the last minute, we decided we'd drive up to Estes Park in Colorado and stay for a few days.  The boys can play in the snow (which we don't ever get here in Austin, TX).  Very excited.  However, they have no snow clothes!!  So I'm off to Walmart today to see if I can grab some very inexpensive boots and gloves for them.  Wish me luck -- going to Walmart 5 days before Christmas means I better put on a helmet!!!

So to distract myself, I've been working on a bunch of templates for you.  I've pulled out a few older layouts and some newer ones to model after.  Starting today, I'll be giving you a template a day as we count down the days to Christmas!  So make sure you check back each day and grab your goodies!!  Here's a layout I made a VERY long time ago.  I liked the strip of photos with a circular photo in the middle.

And here is Template #21 for you!  Enjoy!!

Christmas Trees and Template Freebie #20

I've been talking about decorating for Christmas so I thought I would show you the Christmas trees we have up in the house.  The first one is our main tree downstairs.  It's 9 feet tall and is full of red/white ornaments I've collected over the years.  Mostly santas and snowmen.  This tree is where all the presents will go.

The second tree we got just for me 2 years ago.  It's a 7 foot white tree we put upstairs.  I've always wanted a white tree with blue ornaments.  Every time I look at, I just love it!

I created another template for you.  I've been doing a lot more circles and paper squares behind the photos. Here was the inspiration:

And here is your template.  20 templates so far -- pretty cool!  Enjoy!!

Gather Together From Natalie's Place Designs

Thanksgiving is over, now you need to scrap all those family photos.  Here is the perfect kit -- Gather Together by Natalie's Place Designs.  It's filled with warm and cozy browns, tans and oranges.  It's a lovely kit for scrapping Chip & Dale, Garden Grill Dining and of course all the Thanksgiving festivities.  You can grab this kit at Natalie's blog HERE.

The browns in this kit are pretty versative.  I scrapped a traditional Thanksgiving Mickey layout and then used the same browns for our meeting with Chip & Dale.

For my freebie today, I created a playful title for Thanksgiving with Mickey.  Enjoy!
